Virtual Cooking with The Girl Can Cook!
About the event
Chef Anthony Santos is a proud Filipino-American born and raised in Tulsa. He and his wife, Missy, own and operate the Manila Ice food truck. He is going to show you how to cook some of his drool-worthy food. Check out the Manila Ice Facebook page here.
Manila Ice is THE Filipino Food Truck devoted to spreading the culture’s fun and friendly way of life.
Food is the heart and center of every Filipino party, gathering and home. At Manila Ice, they carry on that love of togetherness with the Tulsa community using family recipes with Chef Anthony's unique flare for cultural favorites.
Growing up, his Lola and Nana visited frequently from the Philippines and they bonded through cooking. That bond grew into his desire to become a chef, and that passion took him to culinary school and an externship cooking in the Philippines. As a 90’s kid with a love of hip-hop, basketball, sneakers, and Filipino food, Manila Ice is Chef Anthony’s dedication to his childhood.
Join us, Natalia and Chef Candace, and Chef Anthony from the comfort of your own home while you cook along. Of course, you can just watch (and party on Garth) and cook later...we are recording the live broadcacst so you can watch it anytime.
Tickets are $50 per household. And BONUS...for $50, you also get the recorded video from the live event to watch as many times as you want. Fast forward, rewind, pause...you know the drill.
Per household also means you can have a Filipino street food party at your house (or wherever you are) with as many people as you want and it's still only $50! Crazy deal, right?
We will provide recipes, ingredient and preparation lists as well as suggested equipment lists (if needed) soon so you have time to shop and get ready for a fun evening of cooking (or just watching).
Wondering if you're doing it right? You’ll be able to ask Chef Anthony and find out. Ask away. So pull up a cutting board and grab a glass of wine because we're all going to have some fun!
